What is it?
The Alarms Analysis dashboard provides a centralized and comprehensive view of alarm data for all sites. It enables you to analyze and gain insights into alarm trends, severity distribution, and alarm resolution times. This information is crucial for optimizing alarm management processes and ensuring timely resolution of critical issues.

Elements of the Dashboard
The Alarm analysis Dashboards features a collection of interactive widgets that provide various perspectives on alarm data
No. | Element | Description |
1 | Number of total alarms | Displays the current total number of alarms across selected sites for the selected period. |
2 | Number of cleared alarms | Indicates how many of all alarms that occurred during the selected period have already been cleared. It is important to note that by clearing, we mean clearing at any time, not just during the selected period. |
3 | Average resolution time | Provides an average of the time elapsed between the first occurrence of an alarm and its clearing. This metric helps evaluate alarm resolution times and identify potential areas for improvement. |
4 | Alarms by site | Provides a breakdown of alarms by site. This helps identify sites with higher alarm volumes and potential alarm management issues. By clicking on a row with the name of a specific site, we get a modal window with a list of relevant alarms. |
5 | Alarms by asset | Lists assets by the number of alarms. This can help pinpoint specific assets that are generating a high number of alarms. If you click on the row, we can also get a list of alarms in this specific asset. |
6 | Alarms by alarm type | Displays a list of alarm types by highest alarm count. This helps identify recurring alarm types that may require attention and resolution strategies. Clicking on a row with a specific type of alarms also works here to get a detailed overview of all occurrences. |
7 | Pie chart: alarms by severity | Visualizes the distribution of alarms based on their severity level. This allows for understanding the proportion of critical high, critical medium, normal and caution-level alarms. |
8 | Bar chart: alarms by first occurred date | Shows the number of alarms that occurred on each day. This can be useful for identifying trends in alarm occurrences and potential root causes. |
9 | Pie chart: alarms by status | Visualizes the distribution of alarms based on their current status. That is, whether the alarms that occurred in the selected time period have already been cleared as of now or not yet. |
10 | Alarms by region | Breaks down alarms by region. This helps identify areas with higher alarm rates and potential regional-specific alarm management challenges. An additional dimension of data presentation in this widget is comparison, enabling to breakdown regional data also by severity of alarms; by acknowledgment status; and by general status - that is, in which region, what is the ratio of active and cleared alarms. |
11 | Pie chart: alarms by acknowledgement status | Shows the proportion of alarms that have been acknowledged and those that remain non-acknowledged. This can help assess the effectiveness of alarm acknowledgment processes. |
Additional features
Data can be filtered and customized to focus on specific aspects of alarm management, such as active alarm count, average duration since first occurrence, and severity distribution.
The dashboard also offers the ability to export the alarm data for further analysis.
